Trotting

A cold dank day, perfect for a spot of trotting for the lady of the stream.

John and George fished somewhere nice for the day, and I popped down for an hour to distract them from their fish catching antics, and I somehow managed to lassoo one around the tail on Georges rod!

The river fined down as the day went on..

Best Friend

This is for Maria, my wife's best friend since life began......

She is nothing short of beautiful, fragrant, life flowing like the veins of the west country river Frome, battling like hell with the fight against the dreaded CANCER, try as she has, its got the upper hand she is only 40 and its not f.....g fair........

Please all pray to the Tarpon gods to give her a little LONGER.
Praying on the wishing stone.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Floods and ponds

The frome flooded this week and with these floods will come the first major Salmon and Sea Trout runs, and the best of luck to them all...

Managed a little clearing of hatches and a few damp walks this week, and a little pond tidy for some clients in Somerset....

Its all go, hatchery boxes to install next week, meetings, and a little fishing if there is time.
Drain down, de silt, and a jolly good tidy up

More fishing

We are now into November, and its hot and sunny, if this is global warming bring it on.....

I spent most of Wednesday after a Mink, Thursday after Perch and today after what ever came along....

I recently donated a days fly fishing for a charity and I spent today with Matt who bought that days fishing, the weather was fine, we started off Trout fishing and Matt bagged a rather fine 4lb 12oz Rainbow (his first fish on a fly), then we headed to the coast where we had one or two micro Pollack on the fly.....

Matt nearly caught one,Tony caught one, I caught two and Rob caught loads.....

Spot on......

Who needs the tropics when you can go to ferry bridge.....
